Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning

The Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning provides leadership, advocacy, support, faculty development, and instructional services to the teaching and learning community at the University of Wyoming.

Engineering Summer Program

The College of Engineering and the Wyoming Engineering Society, in conjunction with the J. Kenneth & Pat Kennedy Endowment, offer high school juniors an opportunity to participate in a summer program of hands-on experiences in various engineering fields.

Helga Otto Haub School of Environmental and Natural Science (ENR)

ENR programs are designed to allow students to specialize in a specific field while simultaneously exposing them to the thought processes of the many other disciplines that are involved with environmental and natural resource studies.

Math Science Initiative Project (MS Upward Bound)

Upward Bound and MSIP participants attend a six-week academic and residential program on the University of Wyoming campus. Summer program components include coursework in English, sciences, computer technology, mathematics and foreign languages, college preparation, electives, and "hands on research"  in various areas. In addition, Upwards Bound /MSIP students engage in recreational, social, outdoor, and educational field trips in and around Wyoming and surrounding states. During the summer, graduated seniors who consistently meet project goals, attend monthly enrichments, show leadership qualities, and partake in community engagements may become eligible to apply for the Bridge scholarship.

Summer Research Apprentice Program (SRAP)

The Summer Research Apprentice Program (SRAP) is an intensive, seven week, paid summer research program held at the University of Wyoming.  Students that have completed their sophomore year of high school by the time the summer program starts, and/or those that are current high school juniors and seniors are eligible.

UW Summer High School Institute

The Summer High School Institute provides a place where some of the state's most intellectually talented sophomores can gather before their junior and senior years, living and studying in an environment with no pressure for grades, and sharing ideas and friendship with other gifted students.

Wyoming Ag in the Classroom (WAIC)

The Wyoming Agriculture In the Classroom (WAIC) program is supported by the Wyoming Department of Agriculture, the Wyoming Beef Council and private donations and grants. WAIC sponsors projects for teachers and students in an effort to increase their understanding of agriculture's impact in today's world. WAIC offers teacher training, student educational materials, resource materials and summer workshops designed to offer a variety of educational opportunities for Wyoming schools.

Wyoming EPSCoR – Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research

Wyoming EPSCoR is a partnership combining resources and management from the State of Wyoming, the University of Wyoming, and the participating Federal agencies of the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, the Environmental Protection Agency, and NASA.

Wyoming Geographic Alliance (WGA)

The goal of the WGA is to improve geography education in Wyoming. The WGA provides professional development programs for teachers, publishes a newsletter, distributes teaching materials, acts as a clearinghouse for curriculum materials and organizes National Geography Awareness Week in Wyoming.

Wyoming Geographic Information Science Center (WyGISC)

WyGISC is an interdisciplinary research institute at the University of Wyoming focused on research and development, education, and outreach associated with geospatial data representation, access, visualization, analysis and modeling.

Wyoming NASA Space Grant Consortium

Wyoming Space Grant sponsors educational and research programs in the state of Wyoming in support of NASA's missions.  We also serve as a link between citizens of the state and NASA programs. The NASA Space Grant College and Fellowship Program was established in 1989 for the purpose of stimulating educational programs and research related to aerospace sciences and technology.

Wyoming Council of Teachers of Mathematics (WCTM)

The WCTM is a voice that speaks out on behalf of mathematics teachers and students.  WCTM provides leadership, grant opportunities, and the latest news on professional development.

Wyoming School-University Partnership

The Wyoming School-University Partnership brings together K-12 teachers, administrators and faculty from the University of Wyoming College of Education, College of Arts and Sciences and other stakeholders in the education of children and their teachers to study and promote the role of public education in preparing students for life and work in a democracy.

Wyoming Science Teachers Association (WSTA)

The WSTA serves as a voice for the science teaching community, playing a leadership role, building networks of educators, and providing opportunities for professional growth.
