Doctors Back to School |
 |
The Area Health Education Center (AHEC) in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Wyoming is partnering with the American Medical Association to provide a program called Doctors Back to School. Traditionally, this program targeted minority children. The focus, however, is to educate all interested Wyoming students about the physician's role in healthcare, what it takes to become a doctor, how many years they go to school, medical specialties, etc. The program is free of charge and lasts about 1 hour.
As a science instructor Cathy Valades-Flynn would like the opportunity to talk to you about this program. She would also like to know more about what you are doing in your schools to promote health care careers.
Please contact Cathy at 307-766-4908 or cvalades@uwyo.edu
